Fredette, Butler & more

Hello again! What about former (still young) NBA-player and college star Jimmer Fredette pouring in 75 points for his Shanghai Sharks on Sunday! He was 24-34 from the field, with 8 rebounds and even a few assists (7) but Sharks lost the game 137-136, sike!

Thinking of old college players, I checked up the old bruiser and former UNC legend Tyler Hansbrough, he seems to be playing in China as well, for Guangzhou Long-Lions and are doing ok from what I understand.

NBA delivers on everything this season, scoring, trades, drama surprises, good and bad, got to love the NBA!

Lakers finally got a winning record, 7-6, all it took was trading veteran Tyson Chandler from Phoenix to block rookie Tray Young´s last second floater, and seal the not so impressive win over Atlanta Hawks 107-106.

We have a problem! Before this season I looked up the 3p percentage of the new players for Houston Rockets, it was not impressive and made me worried. As expected they did not deliver except for James Ennis, but his 39,4% is way above his career average so it might be an anomaly. Anyway, more important is that Eric Gordon, Gerald Green and Chris Paul is in a shooting slump, just as, soon to be cut (?) Carmelo Anthony. Something got to improve, either the defense or the 3p shot, now they are just boring to watch, despite the Beard.

Jimmy Butler is going to join Embiid and Simmons in Philly, those three will be a handful. The price? 3&D Robert Covington and hardworking Dario Saric seems like a good deal for both teams, clearly the thing in Minny had got out of hand and needed to get solved. Minnesota now get two really good players that hopefully want to be there, they might be really good come Christmas.

76ers can only hope Butler is there to play, in that case they can be scary good starting Embiid, Simmons, Butler and JJ Redick. As a fifth player depending on match ups they can start Wilson Chandler/Mike Muscala as nr 4, or playing small with 6´5” rookie Landry Shamet as a shooter. Markelle Fultz needs to be taken out of the starting five since he is not a shooter and everything with him seems awkward, just look at his free throws, that´s not how it´s supposed to look, darn ugly. He can do good things with the ball in his hand when Simmons take a rest, that is how it has to end, period.

The Good!
Toronto is on fire just as Milwaukee, really fun to watch them play. Warriors scary good just as Portland trail Blazers, but will they hold up? Denver is ok despite the 9-4 record but will be better when sparkplugs Will Barton and Isaiah Thomas is healthy, the Joker having a great start of the season.

The Bad!
Cleeevland anyone? Atlanta and Phoenix as expected. Washington ouch. Tiiimber(wolwes) at 4-9 is just a shame, will get better when Butler is gone. Houston, Pelicans and Jazz was expected to be a little bit better than this…
